Personal Illustrations

I started these in 2018, after finishing my design degree, while I looked for my own style, and kept making them until 2023. Some are my take on the trends of the time, others are excuses to try out a Blender feature; later ones became loops and holiday cards. All of them are modelled in Blender, and Behance featured the first ones in Digital Art.

Characters

Two emojis, a skeleton, a pink jelly and an astronaut, twice.

They aren't a set: each one was its own experiment, a trend of the time or a Blender feature I wanted to understand. The pink jelly is made of metaballs, and it inspired the blob on this site.

The shocked emoji grew out of the thinking one, to thank 2,000 followers on Instagram. The astronaut rests on Mars, after claymation and miniature photos, then plants a bacon flag on a fried egg.

Places

A snow globe, a toy tower, a shop and a pink room.

Four small places, each standing on its own base or block of ground, like toys on a shelf.

The shop on the square of grass was my way of celebrating a classic game getting its remake. The pink room came a year later: an isometric corner of a room, cut open like a doll's house.

Holidays

A pumpkin for Halloween and a Christmas tree with its elves.

Two cards for the holidays of 2020. The pumpkin began as a pencil sketch and went through three looks; in the last one it stands on a purple meadow, with a pile of candy corn at its feet.

The Christmas one is a snowy block with a tree, elves, presents and a snowman, taken from wireframe to clay to colour.

Loops

An island, a pendulum and a rainy afternoon.

Some of them move. Summer Loop is a tiny island on a stack of waves, inspired by the summer. Satisfying Pendulum is a pointless machine that swings forever.

Rainy Day, from 2023, is the last one: someone in an armchair, browsing their phone while it rains outside. I wanted it cozy and relaxed, but curious about the online world.
